At the critical wall connection point, we use two high-elastticity O-rings:

DIY installation leaks almost always trace to two joints: a valve assembly that ships in pieces and gets misaligned during field assembly, and thread connections without a reliable secondary seal. Faucets with a factory-sealed valve and dual O-rings remove both failure points.
Household supply runs 40 to 80 psi, but pressure spikes (water hammer) go higher. KES tub faucets are pressure-tested to 116 psi, well above household peaks, so a correctly seated connection stays leak-free.
On threaded connections yes, but sealant is a backup, not the primary seal. The primary seal should come from the faucet’s own O-rings or gaskets. If a faucet only stays dry because of tape, the design is doing your job for you.
